What "Parambarya" Means to Us
In Malayalam, Parambarya (പാരമ്പര്യം) means heritage — knowledge that flows from one generation to the next. It is not learned overnight from books; it is absorbed over years, watching one's elders, practising under their guidance, and earning their trust before carrying the tradition forward.
The marmma knowledge practised at our centre came to us this way. Each generation of the Kuzhuvelipadath family has received it with respect, practised it with patience, and handed it on with care — keeping alive an unbroken thread of traditional Kerala body care wisdom.

The Kuzhuvelipadath Family Tradition
Rooted in Koonammavu in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, the Kuzhuvelipadath family has long been known in the region for its traditional marmma knowledge and oil-based body care practices. What began as care offered within the family and to neighbours grew, over the generations, into a trusted heritage marmma practice serving the wider community.
Our elders taught us that marmma care is a discipline of patience and respect — respect for the body, for the person, and for the tradition itself. Every technique we use, every oil we prepare, follows the methods preserved within our family. Nothing is rushed; nothing is done without care.
